✄ Paper Weaving with Ms. Kelly ✄

In this project, the student will use two pieces 

of colored construction paper to produce a woven paper mat/booklet.

                   

                       This project will give students experience working with 

 the basic concept of weaving. 

Ms. Kelly begins with a brief discussion about weaving 

and prepares a sample to show to the class. 

  

Colored Construction Paper is cut in 1" strips

 Weaving is one of the most ancient forms of human creativity.

 Baskets and textiles would not have been possible without weaving. 

 We begin by weaving one paper over  

then under, then repeating.

(Then alternating under and over with the next paper strip!)
