Measuring, ONOMATOPOEIA and Our School Building!

To begin this unit, we introduced the vocabulary words “shorter than” and “longer than".
Now it's time to focus on Measuring!
We are using paper-clips to measure the length and height of objects in the classroom.
It is important to keep the paper-clips straight to get a better measurement.
Team work!
Good measuring!

Measuring books, desk, crayons, doors, windows and much more...

Seeing with Poet's Eyes!

We've been talking about...  ONOMATOPOEIA POEMS

An onomatopoeia is a word that imitates or suggest the source of the sound.
Oh, what fun it was that we came up with a few of our own ones!
"Swoosh" "Roar" "Bam" "Purr" "Choo-choo" "Sizzle" "Drip" "Fizz" "Ha-Ha" "Ka-ching" "Zip"
